Exciting New Partnership With Emirates Hospitals Group

We are delighted to announce our partnership with Emirates Hospitals Group (EHG) to introduce the first repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) based liaison service in the world. This cutting-edge psychiatric service will be rolled out across EHG facilities to improve outcomes for patients in alignment with a recent DH105 million mental health initiative to support residents of Dubai.

Last week, our Medical Director, Dr Andy Zamar, attended Emirates Hospitals Group Headquarters in Dubai to mark the start of an exciting new collaboration between The London Psychiatry Centre and Emirates Hospitals Group. It is the beginning of a new era in mental health care for the UAE, providing the very best interventions for mental health to help individuals manage demands of everyday life.

Dr Zamar trained 100+ medical and nursing staff during his stay in Dubai on the recognition and management of mental health disorders impacting medical and surgical care in order to improve outcomes for all patients across the EHG group of hospitals. This is the first TMS-based liaison service in the world and given our results with our very high recovery rates, the service will be highly effective.

This partnership aligns with the Mental Wealth Framework part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 scheme launched earlier this year. The scheme is part of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan’s recent DH105 million mental health initiative. The initiative was developed to support residents of Dubai navigate the challenges of the demanding day-to-day life in the city, and to make it the world’s best city for living, working and visiting, according to the Dubai Government Media Office.
